This statement explains how carselect bv (“we”) handles your personal data when you use our website or contact us. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Which data do we process?

• Data you enter in a form: name, email address, phone number and your message.
• For a test drive, question, financing request or car search: the car concerned and your preferences.
• For a trade-in request: your car’s details (make, model, year, mileage, number plate) and the photos you add.
• Technical data needed to run the website securely (such as IP address and browser type), processed by our hosting provider.

What do we use it for?

• To answer your request and send you a proposal, offer or finance simulation (pre-contractual steps at your request).
• To handle the sale, delivery and after-sales of your car (performance of the contract and legal obligations).
• To keep you informed about new arrivals and offers, only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To secure the website and keep it running properly (legitimate interest).

Who receives your data?

We never sell or rent out your data. We only work with service providers who process data on our behalf with contractual safeguards:

• Cloudflare (website hosting and security).
• Resend (delivering form submissions to us by email).
• For a financing request: the lender, only with your consent and to assess your application.
• OpenStreetMap (the map on the website): your browser loads the map directly from OpenStreetMap.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising networks. Your favourites and comparisons are only stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us. You can clear them at any time on the website or in your browser settings.

How long do we keep your data?

No longer than necessary. Requests that do not lead to a sale are in principle kept for at most two years after our last contact. Data we are legally required to keep (such as invoices) is kept for the statutory period.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction, the right to object, the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent. Just email info@carselect.be.
